Lucinda and Malcolm are two months old today!
At two months, Lucinda Jean:
Lucinda still wears some of her newborn clothes, but is moving up into 0-3 month clothes now, ushering in a whole wardrobe of adorable girly dresses and outfits. While she's still only in the second percentile for height, we think she's getting really tall for her size - she continues to be a long, skinny baby.
Lucinda recently started smiling, and has an adorable shy smile that sneaks up on you and melts your heart.
She is especially fond of her daddy, and loves to be held and cuddled by him. She also loves to hold your hand and stare at your face while you talk to her. When she gets really fussy or sad, often just holding onto daddy's hand will be enough to calm her down.
She likes to lay on her activity mat and look in the mirror and watch "the Lucinda baby". She likes to play on her changing pad, and loves to be naked. She still loves bathtime, too.
Lucinda is our more fussy baby, and definitely has a flair for the dramatic. She does not like when unexpected things happen to her, like hiccups or sudden movement. When she's startled or upset, she's capable of making the saddest face ever, and it just breaks your heart, but a smile eventually follows and melts you inside. She's completely adorable and we love her so much.
At two months, Malcolm Walter:
Malcolm has outgrown all of his newborn clothes and wears 0-3 month clothes now. He loves to ham it up for the camera during our fashion shows, no matter how ridiculous the outfit.
He flashes his huge, gummy smiles all the time, and loves when you make funny faces or sounds.
He consistently rolls from his tummy to his back, and seems frustrated that he can't roll the other way yet. He's very active and likes to hop up and down while you're holding him.
Malcolm is our easygoing baby. He's very peaceful and content most of the time. He rarely cries unless he's hungry or tired, and he goes to sleep easily on his own in his crib. He's getting better at keeping his pacifier in, and knows that his Miracle Blanket means it's time to sleep. He likes to be rocked and read to, and loves to watch "the Malcolm baby" in the mirror. He's recently started cooing and "talking" to himself and to us.
Both babies are sleeping from about 10pm to 6am now, with one quick wake-up around 2 or 3 for a bottle. Hopefully they'll be sleeping through the night soon - Mommy and Daddy are definitely ready for that!
