One Year!

Malcolm & Lucinda are ONE YEAR old!!!

We celebrated their birthday on Monday

with a trip to the Pentagon City mall,

new shoes, and their first frozen yogurt.

At 12 months, Malcolm Walter...

• weighs 25 lb 4 oz (93%) 
• is 30.75 inches tall (82%)
• has a head circumference of 18.75 inches (88%)

• wears 18 month clothes, size 4 diapers and size 5.5 shoes
• takes 2 naps each day, and sleeps 12 hours at night.  He sleeps with his butt up in the air.

• loves fruit so very much, especially blueberries, strawberries, grapes and mandarin oranges.  He's also fond of vegetables and Cheerios, but most days he's not much of a fan of meat.
• is starting to babble more, can say "Mama" and can sign "cat" "milk" and "all done".

• loves his mama something fierce, and thinks his daddy is hilarious.
• is a very determined and persistent little boy.  He loves to study things and figure out how they work, and is so proud of himself when he figures out how to do something.

At 12 months, Lucinda Jean...

 

• weighs 19 lbs. 11.6 oz (49%) 
• is 28.5 inches tall (24%)
• has a head circumference of 17.5 inches (35%)

• wears 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers and size 4.5 shoes (although one foot is half a size smaller than the other). 
• takes 2 naps each day and sleeps 12 hours at night.  Before she goes to sleep, she spends at least 5 minutes walking back and forth in her crib and hollering at her brother.

• likes to sit in her new chair and "read", or climb from one chair to the other and back again.  She loves to climb.

• likes blankets, especially bigger ones, and likes to drag them around the house with her.
• is adventurous, fearless and silly.  She's shy with new people, but I think that's just because she's not sure whether they'll get her sense of humor.  Once she's comfortable, she's very affectionate, and loves to come over and sit in our laps to cuddle or hear a story.
