Lucinda and Malcolm are 18 months old today!
I cannot believe my babies are one and a half! And they aren't babies anymore. They are wild, active, silly, hilarious toddlers. They sure keep us busy, but we are having so much fun these days.
At 18 months, Lucinda Jean...
- weighs 22 lb. 11.5 oz (50th percentile)
- is 32 inches tall (53rd percentile)
- has a head circumference of 18 inches (33rd percentile)
- wears 18 month clothes, size 5.5 shoes, and size 4 diapers.
- has been talking up a storm lately. She imitates everything and has a ton of words now. Her favorites are "hi" "okay" "up" "uh-oh" "this" and "more". And "Dada". She remains a devoted daddy's girl.
- loves to draw on her magnadoodle. She particularly likes to draw caterpillars and point them out to you (she pronounces it "bah-ba" but it's clear what she means). She also loves to find the caterpillar on every page of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
- loves Blues Clues, and her blue dog. She loves to read, and loves balls and balloons.
- makes the silliest sounds. She'll run across the room, hands waiving and squealing at the top of her lungs. She'll growl if she's mad. And she hoots like an owl when she wakes up. She also parrots the tune of what you sing to her.
- is such a good helper. She brings Malcolm his milk from the kitchen before bathtime every night, happily helps put her toys away, and is really good at following instuctions
- and, if you haven't noticed, she's obsessed with sunglasses this week.
At 18 months, Malcolm Walter...
- weighs 28 pounds (90th percentile)
- is 34 inches tall (92nd percentile)
- has a head circumference of 19 1/4 inches (86th percentile)
- wears 24 month and 2T clothes, size 6 shoes, and size 5 diapers.
- is OBSESSED with the Hot Dog Song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He has to hear it at least 25 times a day. It's the first thing he asks for when he wakes up in the morning, and the last thing he wants to hear before bed. And he dances up a storm to it. If others dance with him, he's in heaven.
- loves bubbles almost as much as the Hot Dog Song. He's also a big fan on books, balls, matchbox cars, and he hasn't met an animal he doesn't love.
- he's using more words, and is still using a lot of signs. His favorite words are "more" "up" "hot dog" (see above) and "mama". He remains a devoted mama's boy. He's also quite a fan of Pap.
- loves to run and run and run. and climb. and be chased. and dig. He dives in with enthusiasm every chance he gets and loves to get dirty. He is all boy.
We're having a blast on vacation this week.
Stay tuned for more fun...
