Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

We had such a fun Halloween this year!  This was the first year that we let them choose their costumes.  Lucinda wanted to be a "rainbow butterfly" and Malcolm wanted to be a minion from the Despicable Me movies.  Matt dressed up as Dr. Nefario, also from Despicable Me, and Lucinda insisted I wear the same costume as her, so I stuffed myself into a toddler size tutu.

They were so excited to wear their costumes and go trick or treating!  They had such a hard time falling asleep all week because they'd stay up late in their room practicing trick or treating, and talking about Halloween.  Every morning they wanted to know if it was here yet, and were so excited on Friday that Halloween was finally here!  The festivities started with a Halloween parade and trunk or treating at their preschool.  It was so fun to see them dressed up with all their little friends!

Once we got home, we played outside in the front yard and practiced trick or treating until our neighbors came over for pizza.  Josh showed up in the most incredible costume, much to everyone's delight, except Mayim who was terrified of him.

The kids rocked trick or treating this year.  Malcolm led the charge, and was incredibly delighted each and every time he got candy, running down the lawn back to us shouting "I got another candy!"  And Lucinda charmed everyone with her very polite "kank you"s.

They stayed up too late and ate too much sugar, of course, and Malcolm slept until 9:30 the next morning which is unheard of!
