We had our first ultrasound on Friday morning, at 6 weeks, 3 days. We'll stay with our reproductive endocrinologist - Dr. Levens - until around 8 weeks, then we'll "graduate" to my normal obstetrician. About a minute into the ultrasound (we couldn't see the screen yet), the doctor turns to Matt, notices he's holding his cup of coffee, and tells him to get a good grip on the cup... then he turned the screen our way. "Here's one baby... and here's the second one!" TWINS!!! Both are measuring right on track and everything looks good. We saw both hearts beating, which was absolutely amazing. We spent the rest of the day in a state of shock - very excited shock. We've settled more into the idea now and are absolutely thrilled. It'll be an adventure, but it will be a fun one.
Here's babies' first portrait! "Baby A" is on the left, "Baby B" is on the right. We think they're pretty cute :)

We go back for our second ultrasound on Thursday August 12th to see them again!
They're so tiny! Can't wait to see them and their little hands & feet & faces. I like the idea of the blog, too. Talk to you soon. Love you, Mom
