Christmas Eve

We kicked off Christmas Eve with a big grocery trip to get ready for our company, then spent the morning doing more cooking (on Friday, the babies and I had a baking extravaganza).  Lucinda and Malcolm hung out in the kitchen and helped make a lasagna for Monday night.

After we finished cooking, it was nap time.  Now that both babies can stand in their cribs, it is so fun to come in after they wake up and find them both standing up, waiting to greet us!  I'm pretty sure Malcolm's giving me the stink-eye here because I came in, then left to get my camera without picking him up.  Malcolm waits for no one.

Since it was a beautiful sunny day, we decided to bundle up and take a walk.

Lucinda decided Christmas Eve dinner is a fancy affair.

Malcolm once again expressed his annoyance in being made to wait - this time for a photo break during applesauce time.

In my family, we always got new PJs on Christmas Eve, a tradition we're carrying on.

After we opened our PJs, Lucinda discovered the Christmas tree and the ornaments (finally!)

Since they were in such a good mood, we had some extra time before bed, so we decided to let them open one more present (they'll be so overwhelmed tomorrow, anyway).  I let Lucinda pick, and she picked packages from Mimi & Poppy that contained adorable baby laptops!  Now maybe they'll stop trying to drool all over mine (that would be a Christmas miracle!).

After that, it was off for baths and bedtime, while we wait for Santa.

More to come tomorrow!
