One of the best things about Matt's new job is his alternative work schedule. He has every other Friday off now, which means that we can travel for long-weekends without needing to use vacation time, I can catch up on work on Fridays if I need to, and we can do fun family things without the weekend crowds. A couple weeks ago, on one of our Fridays off, we drove out to Stribling Orchard to pick apples. Last year, it was slow going, with the kids trying to eat lots of spoiled apples off the ground. This year, they were really into picking the apples off the trees and eating their weight in apples.
After we finished picking, we checked out the pumpkins before heading to the Apple House for lunch.
It was a beautiful morning and just a perfect way to spend some time together outside.
