I thought I'd catch up on what we've been up to
the last few weeks by sharing some pictures from my phone.
Malcolm & Lucinda decided this bush in our front yard was a money tree, so they pulled off a bunch of leaves and stuffed them in their pockets. Malcolm says he's going to buy a car and a truck. Lucinda says she's saving up for a "purple and pink pig."
Thomas is still a heavy favorite around here.
Malcolm and Lucinda set up a store in the kitchen one Friday afternoon. They took turns collecting things from around the house that they thought the other might want to buy and putting them on display. The other would then buy them using poker chips as currency. It was super cute.
For the past couple of years, Matt has volunteered for an organization called The Reading Connection. Once a month he goes to a local shelter and reads to the kids there. Earlier this month we went to their 25th anniversary gala and fundraiser in DC.
Catherine came to town for another conference, so we were lucky to see her again so soon! With baby #3 coming soon, it may be a while before she's out this way again. Looks like we'll have to make a trip to Texas!

I went to a conference last week and these two really put daddy through the ringer. The first night, Lucinda (who has been fully potty trained for months) had an accident overnight and both kids ended up in our bed with daddy. The second night, Lucinda came down with the stomach flu and threw up all over daddy's pillow, all over daddy and all over our bathroom. Poor girl, and poor daddy. I came home from the conference early to relieve him and spent the day on the couch with my sick little llamas.
We're all better now, though, and excited for springtime, better weather, and hopefully healthy times.
