In addition to all of our big summer fun, we of course had our share of smaller-scale, but equally fun adventures this summer. Without further ado, here's a photo dump of even more summer fun!
We ordered new suitcases, which of course meant M&L had to get out all of their toys to fill up the empty boxes.
Earning his keep, on Mother's Day no less!
Water table fun with Lucas!
Playing "witch" on their flying broomstick
Llamas ran their first race in May - a kids 1k fun run. They both finished, and were so proud of themselves. Malcolm even came in near the top of his age bracket!
Summer = sprinklers
In June, I spent a week in Buffalo for work, and capped it off with a trip to Niagara Falls. Which would have been much more enjoyable had I not fallen and very badly sprained my ankle while walking to the falls.
Lollipops and snuggles with mama while I recuperated on the couch with my sprained ankle.
Drive in movie
C&M firm picnic at the National Zoo.
Uncle Adam came to visit, and Malcolm drew this beautiful and very lifelike picture of him.
Post-bath cookie baking during an especially bad thunderstorm
Fun at the sprayground! Sadly we only made it there once this summer.
Starting to count down to our Disney trip!
Making slime
July trip to the Baltimore Science Center
The preschool book club put on a play of "The Very Busy Spider." Lucinda was the sheep and Malcolm was the cow. They decided at 7am that day that they needed to shirts with their characters on them. Thankfully we had some blank t-shirts laying around, and some sharpies.
"Action Painting" like Jackson Pollack. They've been watching a show called Creative Galaxy on Amazon that's all about art, and wanted to try this themselves.
Pool and slip'n'slide fun at Lucas's house.
Silly girl showing off her newly remodeled bathroom
A fun (and hot) afternoon at National Harbor in August
Time to say goodbye to old teachers, as they move up to Pre-K. We loved Miss Jasmine (Lucinda's teacher in the Bears class) and Miss Erika (Malcolm's teacher in the Ducks class).
Cheesing it up in the backyard one evening
Malcolm has become obsessed with playing "chest" and is getting pretty good at it!
Half-birthday celebration for these goofy 4 1/2 year olds.
The last pool day of the summer
And we're off to Pre-K!
