Seven Months!

Lucinda and Malcolm are seven months old!

This past month has been so much fun!  They are growing so fast, and it seems like they are learning new things every day.  This month, Malcolm and Lucinda:

• learned to sit up!
• tried lots of new foods - blueberries, raspberries, butternut squash, pumpkin, orange, corn, broccoli and chicken!
• learned to sleep through the night!  (thank you, Dr. Ferber!)
• moved from their infant car seats to their convertible car seats!
• have really started to notice each other and like being together :)

At seven months, Lucinda Jean...

• weighs about 15 lbs.
• still wears 3-6 month clothes, and size 2 diapers
• sleeps from 7:30 pm until between 6 and 7 am.  She no longer wakes to eat overnight and takes 2-3 naps each day.

• eats about 28 oz of formula per day, plus two meals of solids. She loves feeding herself, and gets frustrated that she has to be spoon-fed purees.  She loves Mum-Mums and has gotten pretty good with her sippy cup.

• rolls all over the place and is so close to crawling.  She can get up on all fours and rock back and forth, and can move forward one "step" but then lays back down on her belly and has to start all over again.

• is obsessed with the remote control.
• takes a while to warm up to new people, but is full of smiles and silliness for the people she sees every day.

At seven months, Malcolm Walter...

• weighs 20 lb. 6 oz.
• wears 6-9 and 9-12 month clothes, and size 3 diapers (size 4 overnight)

• sleeps from 7 pm until between 6 and 7 am.  He no longer wakes to eat overnight and takes 2-3 naps each day.
• loves books.  Okay, he loves to hold them and try to eat them, but it's a start.

• eats about 30 oz of formula per day, plus two meals of solids.  He's still enthusiastic about pretty much all food.  He's been slower to figure out his sippy cup, but he's getting there.
• has two teeth (bottom middle), and a third coming in (top left)

• is loving life!  Malcolm has such a great enthusiastic spirit.  He sticks his tongue out when he's happy or excited (which is often), and loves to jump up and down and squeal in delight.
