At one month, Malcolm weighs 8 lb., 1.5 oz (11th percentile), and is getting close to outgrowing his newborn clothes. He is very strong, and is getting very good at holding his head up during tummy time - he's even rolled over from front to back a few times on accident! Malcolm currently eats 4 oz every 2.5-3 hours, and sleeps about 4 hours between feedings at night. He's a very sweet, laid back, easygoing baby, and is quite silly, especially in the morning. He's also a very loud baby, always cooing and singing us songs. He's especially enthusiastic about eating (he's definitely his father's son). He giggles and grunts all the time and is very close to giving us a real smile. He sleeps well in his crib, and loves his pacifier, but isn't very good yet about keeping it in his mouth while he sleeps.
Lucinda missed out on the extra pediatrician visit this week (for Malcolm's diaper rash), so she hasn't been weighed this week, but we suspect she's nearing 7 pounds now. Lucinda currently eats 3.5 oz every 2.5-3 hours, and also sleeps about 4 hours at night. She's much quieter than her brother, but she has a shriek that can wake the neighbors and will certainly tell you when she's unhappy! Lucinda loves to be held and cuddled, a role great grandma has gladly taken on this week, and loves the bath. She is a serious baby, and often scrunches up her forehead and looks like she's thinking hard about something very important. She loves the swing, and likes to be rocked to sleep in our arms or in her Rock 'n' Play.
