Lest anyone think all we do is play around here, we've been putting Malcolm and Lucinda to work lately. First, I put them in charge of meal planning last week.
Of course, I had to veto their proposed menu of chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese, and watermelon for dinner every night.
The next night, they did their dishes after dinner.
This kept them entertained for more than half an hour, and they only stopped because it was time to get in the bathtub. While the floor got very wet, and they were soaked, a few dishes did actually get washed. I'm sure at some point they'll realize this isn't as much fun as they think it is now, but until then, I'll take the free labor where I can get it!
