Yesterday was Uncle Adam's birthday. Malcolm and Lucinda spent Saturday afternoon playing with Miss Emmaline (their nanny) and their friend Annabelle while we went to Annapolis with Uncle Adam and Aunt Julia. The first stop was a waterfront bar for a drink and some live music.
Then we headed to Jimmy Cantler's Riverside Inn for crabs.
This place is so much fun!

This is the second or third time we've celebrated Adam's birthday at Cantler's -- hopefully it will become a tradition and the kids can join in. We've discovered that Adam and I are the messy, dive in with both hands type of crab pickers, while Julia and Matt prefer a neat and tidy approach (and would probably be just as happy - maybe more - with crabcake sandwiches).
It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. As much as I love these two, it's so nice to have a break now and then for adult time.
