Swimming Lessons

Malcolm and Lucinda have been taking swim lessons on Saturday mornings at the county rec center.  Thanks to a (fun!) visit from Mimi and Aunt Linda this weekend, we finally got some pictures. 

The class alternates between singing songs as a group in a circle, and working on "water skills" (at this age, reaching, kicking, and leaning off the side of the pool into our arms).

Lucinda LOVES swimming!  She's such a water baby.  She laughs and splashes and has the best time.  Malcolm is a little more apprehensive, but generally enjoys himself until he has to go on his back.  He does not like that at all.  All in all, we've really enjoyed the classes.  Unfortunately, we only have one left since we'll be out of town for the final class.  Hopefully we'll get to spend some time at Uncle Adam and Aunt Julia's pool this summer, and we'll get to do lots of swimming on vacation later this summer.
